My name is Alex, I’m 33 years old and music has been a HUGE part of my life ever since I was a child. I was always fascinated watching my dad play the guitar and that inspired me to strive towards a career in music! My father taught me guitar for years, and I also had piano lessons from the age of 8.

After getting into high school and finding a love for rock and heavy music I began learning the drums as well. I was 13 when I began playing drums and since then, I’ve loved being able to sit down behind a kit and get a nice groove going.

When I was a little older, I also had vocal training and have focused on songwriting for the last decade as well. With plenty of patience and practice, I was lucky enough to play acoustic sets at the St Kilda Festival, Ben and Jerry’s Open Air Cinema by the beach, and plenty more!

For the last few years, I have played in bands, written music and had many gigs in pubs, as well as singing solo at weddings, which I love to do.

Music is my greatest passion and I’m excited to share it with my students!
