Piano/Voice
My name is Lyn and I have successfully been teaching classroom music, piano and singing for 30 years.
I graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Teaching in 2000.
I have been playing the piano ever since I was 8 years old. My love for piano struck me when I was in Year 3 and have never looked back after finding my passion all those years ago.
After many years of working as a music teacher in both primary and secondary schools as well as running my own private piano business, I decided to focus my passion on teaching and mentoring the younger generation.
I believe that music is a universal language, capable of transcending barriers and igniting creativity in young minds. Teaching music is not just about notes and rhythms – it’s about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and experience the joy of self-expression.
In my opinion, music has the ability to cultivate emotional connections, instil discipline, and inspire a lifelong passion for learning.
There’s nothing quite like witnessing the excitement in a student’s eyes when they grasp something new. Music is a remarkable gift, and it fills me with joy to share it with my students.
